Energy Harvesting in Future City sensors and IoT

Event details
Wednesday, 28 March 2018
9:30 am – 15:00 pm
Identify the challenges in powering sensors needed for Future Cities, and the potential Energy Harvesting based solutions

This event is part of a series of activity from the Energy Harvesting Special Interest Group (SIG), run by KTN, to bring together the challenge owners with the Energy Harvesting solution providers in the UK.

The focus of the event is to identify some of the challenges faced when powering sensors needed to deliver Future City functionality, such as location of wiring or need to replace batteries, and discuss in small groups how these might be addressed by the use of self powered solutions, drawing their energy from ambient sources such as heat, vibration, light and motion.

The event is open to all, and we hope to mix industry users with researchers and solution providers for a lively discussion and identification of needs and solutions.
