Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) for Clean Growth

Overview
Join this unique event to network with businesses and researchers from across the supply chain

Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) for Clean Growth is a one-day event to bring together businesses and researchers from across the supply chain: from feedstock, conversion technology, (bio)refining, fuel testing, airframe and engine manufacturers to the airlines.

Delivered by KTN’s Sustainable Aviation Fuel Special Interest Group (SAF SIG), the aim of this one-day event is to broker new connections and provide you with the context as to why the aviation industry needs SAF plus the launch of a new competition, a UK SAF Landscape Map and ‘Cleared for Offtake’ – a new resource to support fuel producers.

To help accelerate your networking experience and enable fruitful business outcomes, we will provide a platform for you to book 1-to-1 meetings prior to the event.

SAF for Clean Growth is timely and presents an opportunity to showcase the aviation sector’s commitment to decarbonisation and alignment to government’s Clean Growth Strategy, Industrial Strategy and imminent Bioeconomy Strategy. The aviation sector’s UN Body, International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), is set to implement a new climate regulation – the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA).  From 2021, the regulations will recognise the use of SAF, opening up a global market for new fuel technologies.

Combined with the amendments to the Department for Transport’s Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO) which enable the purchase of credits to produce SAF, the positive sustainability and renewables agenda presents an unprecedented opportunity for the UK to position itself and become a world leader in the production of SAF.

We are offering short presentation slots (2-5 minutes depending on interest) for anyone wanting to pitch their business or research. You can submit your request through the registration site and you will be notified if your request is successful nearer the event.
