4Manufacturing® aims to help manufacturers, particularly SMEs, to create an action plan to engage with digital technologies.

Developed in collaboration with key national stakeholders including Innovate UK, the Catapults, BEIS, 4Manufacturing® will align with the objectives of the BEIS sponsored £20m Made Smarter North West pilot which will test out the most effective ways to engage with manufacturers and provide them with support and grants to adopt digital technologies.

KTN are working with a small cohort of regional partners to test and refine the 4Manufacturing® approach and the digital tool for market, through capacity building of the business advisors in the region. One of the early partners are Invest NI, who are working with SME manufacturers to help them adopt digital technologies in their quest to align with the objectives of #industry4.0.

A recent interview with Pat Doyle, Manager Advanced Manufacturing, Materials & Engineering Team, IRD Division, from Invest Northern Ireland highlighted that 4Manufacturing® tool will help manufacturing businesses in Northern Ireland to improve their productivity and their overall competitiveness against businesses across the whole of the UK.

As part of this pilot roll out by KTN, regional and national partners will be able to access insightful data, broken down by theme, sector and region as well as support to link their businesses to the right partners, both regionally and nationally.    Find out more about 4Manufacturing® here.
