Analysis for Innovators (A4I) £4m competition opens soon – KTN briefing event 27 February, London

A4I can help boost productivity and competitiveness in your business through solving existing problems.

Innovate UK will open the fourth round of the popular Analysis for Innovators (A4I) programme worth up to £4m on 25 February. KTN is running a competition briefing event on 27 February in London which will outline the competition’s scope.

A4I is a programme that gives UK businesses of any size access to cutting-edge R&D expertise and facilities to help solve problems that they have been unable to tackle using standard technologies and techniques.  It might be around product reliability, cost or product lifetime.

A4I is an investment from Innovate UK, as part of UK Research and Innovation, alongside funding partners the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), the National Measurement Laboratory at LGC (formerly known as the Laboratory of the Government Chemist), the National Engineering Laboratory (NEL) and the Science and Technologies Facilities Council (STFC).

Together the funding partners run some of the most advanced facilities, techniques and technologies available in the world.  A4I matches the best UK scientists and facilities with companies that have existing, possibly long-running issues, a different approach from other Innovate UK funding competitions.

At the A4I round four competition briefing delegates will hear from Innovate UK about the scope of the competition and will be able to talk to representatives from the funding partners and KTN about their business problem and if A4I can help solve it.

A4I events:

  • 19th July – NPL, Teddington
  • 22nd July – Glasgow
  • 23rd July – Rutherford Appleton Labs, Oxford
  • 24th July – STFC Daresbury
  • 31 July – London (Available via webcast)
