Innovate UK and the KTN are hosting a briefing event on the £35m Digital Health Technology Catalyst fund at Northumbria University on 26th September.

The Digital Health Technology Catalyst is a £35 million fund, run over 4 years as part of the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund. It addresses challenges around the development of digital health innovations and aims to grow the digital health sector.

Digital Health Technology Catalyst Round 3 applications close on 31st October 2018.

Digital Health Technology Catalyst Funding Overview
1. Feasibility studies: Total eligible costs £50,000 Р£75,000 for projects of 12 months

The grant enables you to explore and evaluate the commercial potential of an early-stage digital health concept. This can include (but is not limited to):

  • assessment of the market and business opportunity
  • validation of the initial concept
  • scoping for further development

Projects must be led by a UK-based SME. Collaborators can include: NHS organisations, universities, public sector, charities, businesses of any size, research and technology organisations (RTOs).

2. Collaborative R&D: Total eligible costs £300,000 Р£1 million for projects of 24 Months

This scheme funds industrial research and experimental development projects that develop new digital technology solutions to healthcare challenges.

Projects must be SME-led and must be collaborative, working with at least one other grant-claiming partner. Innovate UK recommend that you collaborate with the NHS where appropriate.
