Are you a European company working on an innovation project using photonics? If so, you could get support from ACTPHAST 4.0, an incubator with a mission to accelerate Photonics Innovation for SMEs.

Who can apply?

ACTPHAST 4.0 is keen on supporting small- and medium-sized enterprises, including start-up micro-enterprises of less than 10 employees.

The incubator will also support large-scale companies, especially if photonics is not your core business and you are innovating with photonics for the first time.

What is the application process?

Step 1: Check that you are eligible

Step 2: Register your interest and have your project proposal evaluated

Step 3: Once the project proposal has been evaluated by experts, an evaluation meeting takes place, and if this is successful, you will receive support.

When can you apply?

You can register your interest at any time but keep in mind the following:

• The assessments and application process can take 1-4 months.
• The evaluation meetings take place every two months.
