The Faraday Institution workshops to establish Wave 2 priorities

A series of workshops is being planned by The Faraday Institution, the UK’s independent research institute for electrochemical energy storage research

The workshops are aimed to identify UK priorities for research and infrastructure capability.  The first will be held at The AMRC Knowledge Transfer Centre in Catcliffe near Sheffield on 10 July.

The Faraday Institution is currently delivering world-class research in support of the UK government’s Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund (ISCF).  It is the research vehicle for the ISCF Faraday Battery Challenge, which comprises a £246m commitment over the next four years to develop, design and manufacturer world-leading batteries in the UK.

It is now seeking a wide range of views on the priorities for the second wave of research projects and the workshop on 10 July is the first in this series of joint industry/academia events.

The workshops are free to attend and places are limited to two people from any one organisation.  If you miss out on a place at the first event, there will be five further workshops held over the next few months across the UK.  Dates will be announced when confirmed.

 

The planned locations are:

·      Scotland – Edinburgh Area

·      North of England – Newcastle Area

·      West Midlands – Coventry Area

·      South of England – London Area

·      South Wales – Cardiff / Swansea Area
