UK Aerospace Research and Technology Programme closing soon

Posted on 10/01/2019

Expression of interest in the UKART Programme providing grant funding to encourage innovation in UK civil aerospace is closing 23 January.

The UK Aerospace Research and Technology (UKART) Programme, which represents a £3.9bn joint government and industry investment, will close to expressions of interest (EOI) at noon on 23 January.

The programme is designed to maintain and grow the UK’s competitive position in civil aerospace with partners working in collaboration to deliver a portfolio of projects to meet the objectives of the Aerospace Technology Strategy, ‘Raising Ambition’.

The programme is co-ordinated and managed by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation and the Aerospace Technology Institute (ATI).

UKART is now seeking EOIs for projects that have a potential application within the civil aerospace sector.  Priority areas identified within the UK Aerospace Technology Strategy include:

  • whole aircraft design and integration
  • aerostructures
  • advanced systems
  • propulsion technologies

Successful applicants will be invited to the second stage and those applications will be ones with a strategic fit with the UK Aerospace Technology Strategy that provide value for money for the UK.  To express interest in the competition, click here.  More information is also on the ATI website.
