Knowledge Transfer Mgr, Sustainable Manufacture

Profile overview

With a background in engineering and design, Ben worked in industry for ten years in product development – first in a university spinout, and then in a multi-national heating company. He then spent a couple of years in innovation consultancy before joining the Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) in 2011. Ben is part of KTN’s Manufacturing team. Ben also oversees a team of sustainability champions across KTN; fostering innovation by sharing knowledge, ideas and opportunities across sectors, facilitating cross-disciplinary collaborations, and enhancing awareness of the global social and environmental drivers that are creating massive innovation opportunities. Key to this is the Horizons tool.

Ben holds an MA in Industrial Design Engineering and a US patent for a Detachable Fuel Cell Power Unit For Vehicle Applications.
