Kelly Botham

I am the Knowledge Transfer Manager for Net Zero, which is a cross-cutting initiative aligned with the government’s 2050 Net Zero goals that has also been prioritised within our company strategy. I was previously KTM within the Innovation and Insights team (now the Futures team), where I looked at how Innovate UK Business Connect can improve engagement with companies, making us more proactive and more efficient in our processes.

I joined Innovate UK Business Connect in 2011 as the Community Manager for Space and Defence, where I also operated as the Communications Lead and Event Organiser for the Space Innovation and Growth Strategy Programme Management Office. Before moving into more recent positions, I had a six-month stint as the Project Support Manager for the Smart Specialisation Hub, where I helped support the team on communications and strategy work.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies at Seattle University and have spent many years living and working around the globe including in the US, Europe, the Middle East and most recently, China. This has given me in-depth understanding of working cross-culturally with varied levels of stakeholders, while my experience includes communications, facilitation, event management, project management and stakeholder engagement.
