Louise Jones

Profile overview

Louise joined the Knowledge Transfer Network in 2013 with a focus on Photonics, assisting the Solar, Lasers, Lighting and Manufacturing communities in particular, and was the lead on Additive Manufacturing before moving to her current role with the Energy team. She began her career in the fine chemicals industry, with an industrially-led PhD in combinatorial chemistry; before moving on to research work on a diverse range of industry-funded projects on animal by-products, chemicals, automotive coatings, polymers and naturally derived products. She then established a production and R&D facility in the automotive industry, developing catalytic converters.

Prior to joining KTN, Louise spent 8 years in a knowledge transfer/project manager role at Bangor and Glyndŵr University, where she led collaborative projects between industry and academia.
